Coaching Staff

Sereno Soccer Director of Coaching position:

The candidate should reflect the highest level of professionalism and conduct as this position is the leader of the premier youth soccer program in Arizona.

 

Club Background:

Sereno Soccer Club, Located in Phoenix, Arizona, celebrated its 32nd anniversary in 2011.  As the #1 soccer club in Arizona and perennially ranked as one of the top clubs in the nation, Sereno is recognized as the leader in youth soccer development in Arizona. Sereno is an official Football Development Partner with Chelsea FC of the English Premier League and a Priority Club partner with Adidas.  Over the past 30 years, the Club has experienced great success both on and off the field, producing 87 State Champion Girls and 48 State Champion Boys teams, 9 Regional Champions, 4 National Finalists, and 1 National Champion.  Our club currently has 1200 competitive players and 500 recreational players, and participates in a number leagues, including ECNL, Far West Region League, Arizona State League, and Arizona Open League.

 

Sereno Soccer Club is currently led by Boys Division Director, David Robertson, Girls Division Director, Paul Taylor, and the Board of Directors.  All of the professional coaches and trainers work with the Division Directors and age-level Division Directors to achieve the best programming and training available. 

 

All competitive players are trained by an elite professional coaching staff that includes nationally and internationally licensed coaches, former playing professionals and individuals who have coached at the highest levels in the United States and professionally overseas.

Qualifications/Criteria:

 

Ability to lead, communicate and develop both players and coaching staff

Vision, determination, and ability to motivate others to excellence

Proven experience in developing curriculum and programs for coaches and athletes

Desire to see youth players develop and continue to achieve at collegiate level

Contacts and resources in collegiate networks, professional and international divisions

Ability to coordinate boys and girls soccer programs within the same organization

A true mentor and leader willing to fully commit to growing the brand

 

Requirements:

Experience as a Director or Coaching, or as a College Head Coach or Professional Head Coach

Minimum 10 years coaching experience at the Club, Collegiate, or Professional level, US or International

Experience with youth development programs and elite level soccer programs

Strong leadership, organizational, communication and motivational skills

Demonstrated broad and diverse coaching ability at all ages and levels of play

Must be willing to submit to a background check

Ability to meet physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
